From the juice of the fruit and in particular from the stalk of the pineapple, plant that came from tropical America, we obtein two enzimes with similar structure. They are characterized by a marked proteolytic effect and they are capable of digesting 1000 times their protein weight in few minutes.
Pineapple stalk, very riched in bromeline - proteolytic glycoproteic enzime - is capable of check both post-traumatic and inflammatory edema ( for example cellulite infiltration) .Bromeline has a proteolytic effect on fibrin, thus favourishing the drainage of inflammatory focus and the reabsorption of hemorrhagic effusion. Diuretic effect is due to the presence of organic acids. Pineapple stalk also has a plaster antiaggregation effect.
